Acupuncture for Auburn Residents

Auburn Acupuncturist, Marie Tsiang Stuart

Marie Tsiang Stuart, L.Ac.
Licensed & Board Certified Acupuncturist

I’m a Washington State Licensed and Board Certified Acupuncturist. I received a Bachelor of Science in Botany from the University of Washington as well as a Master of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Bastyr University in Kenmore, Washington. Before starting a practice here in Auburn, I had a two-year residency at the Acupuncture Health Center, which is one of the busiest clinics in Washington. Through my residency there I was able to learn how to effectively treat many conditions such as pain, fatigue, stress, headaches and more.

I became interested in Chinese medicine while doing ethno-botanical research in the Southern part of Sichuan, China. My research project included the collecting of plants and interviewing locals about the uses of them. Many of the plants had medicinal, edible and other uses.It was there that I was immersed in Chinese culture, in which acupuncture and Chinese herbal therapy remains to be the main form of health care in the country.

During my yearlong research project in China, my mother suffered from Bell's palsy and my father had a stroke. Both used Acupuncture and Chinese herbal therapy as the primary part of their treatment protocol, which in turn led to their full recovery. By living in China and watching my parents use this amazing medicine, I was inspired to immediately learn about Chinese medicine after graduating from the University of Washington!

Dr. Avise Asks some important questions of interest to Auburn residents - Chiropractor Auburn Dr. Avise Asks...

What's the difference between maintenance, prevention and wellness?
Maintenance chiropractic care is an attempt to keep a dynamic, ever-changing and adapting organism (you) in a static relationship with your environment. Preventive chiropractic care is mostly about early detection. Wellness chiropractic care is an attempt to optimize our health and be all that you were designed to be.
Why do so many drugs require a prescription?
Because they can be dangerous? I chose a chiropractic career specifically because it avoids artificial means of pain relief. Our Auburn chiropractic practice attracts health-conscious families that prefer a safe and natural solution. Ready to get started? Call our office today.
