Frankly, before I came into Dr. Avise's office I felt paralyzed with back pain. I was too frightened to call 911 so after two days of PAIN and paralysis, my friend brought me to Dr. Avise. I was so nervous, but it turned out to be the BEST thing I've ever done for my health! After only one day I was not paralyzed any longer and with each treatment my entire body feels better. I had been taking lots of ibuprofen and now I take none. I sleep better and I am able to exercise every day! Who knew I could get my life back!?!?! I feel better than I have in 10 years.

Neurological Disorder

Our son has a neuromuscular disorder and so we came to Dr. DJ to help with preventative maintenance for scoliosis and other spinal deformities. I know that because of the chiropractic care he has not had very much increase in his scoliosis. Our overall experience has been wonderful. Dr. DJ and all his staff are very kind and friendly. We come see Dr. DJ at least once a month and if anything he is a trusted friend that I feel comfortable with taking care of my whole family. We love Avise Chiropractic!

What's the difference between chiropractic and medicine?
Medical treatment focuses on the disease or the symptom. Chiropractic focuses on the person with the disease or the symptom. Medical treatment usually involves changing blood chemistry. Chiropractic involves restoring nervous system integrity. Medical doctors prescribe medicine. Chiropractors adjust the spine—a common source of nervous system interference.
What is the purpose of pain?
Pain prompts many Auburn folks to begin chiropractic care. But pain isn't the problem! Pain is just how your body alerts you that a limit has been reached (or exceeded), that something isn't working right and that some type of change is needed. As a chiropractor, my job is finding the underlying cause and recommending the changes needed to bring your body back into balance.
